Firefly

Arecently discovered fireflies sanctuary in Sg. Yak Yah, Kg. Ibok, provides another alternative attraction in Kemaman. Only a few places provide ideal breeding grounds for these bio-luminescent insects, especially around watery areas such as streams, marshes and river that retain moistures. Fireflies produces light via a chemical reaction of combined enzyme and oxygen. It is unique as fireflies are able to turn the lights on and off by controlling the oxygen supplies. When thousands of fireflies blink simultaneously, it creates a symphony of vibrant light out of the darkness that beholds spectacular sights and wonder.
